Change of Hotel-Keeper

INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR CHANGE OF HOTEL-KEEPER APPLICATION

Submission of Application

  1. Applications for Change of Hotel-Keeper are to be submitted online through the Online Business Licensing Service (OBLS) at https://licences.business.gov.sg


  2. The following documents are required to be submitted together with the online application:


  3.           - Resume (Curriculum Vitae) of the proposed hotel-keeper
              - A copy of the Employment Pass (for non-Singapore Citizen and Permanent Resident)

  4. The following information is needed when submitting the application online through the OBLS website :

    • Full Name of Hotel
    • Complete Address of Hotel
    • Full Name of Hotel-Keeper (as reflected in the Identity Card or Passport)
      The proposed Hotel-Keeper has to be a person who holds a post of a Chief Executive or General Manager or equivalent to that of a Chief Executive Officer of General Manager of the hotel
    • Supporting documents
    • You may attach your supporting documents in the online application or email them to hlb_info@hlb.gov.sg

    Approval Process

  5. If your application is approved, you will be informed via SMS and / or e-mail to make payment of the Hotel-Keeper licence fee online.


  6. The fee payable for change of hotel-keeper's licence is $100.


  7. The Hotels Licensing Board reserves the right to prescribe additional conditions or waive existing conditions for any application for a Hotel-keeper's Licence. 

  8. The Hotels Licensing Board will send the hotel a letter to confirm the change in Hotel-Keeper and advise the date and venue for the collection of the new Hotel-Keeper licence.
