INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR CHANGE OF HOTEL NAME APPLICATION

Submission of Application

1. Applications for a Change of Hotel Name are to be submitted online through the Online Business Licensing Service (OBLS) at https://licences.business.gov.sg/



2. Within fourteen days of the date of the online application for a Change of Hotel Name, the applicant shall, at the applicant's own expense, advertise the Application in The Straits Times and Lianhe Zaobao and forward a copy each of the advertisements to the Secretary of the Board. The advertisement must be in the format of the Notice Form.




3. The following documents are required to be submitted together with the online application:

   • ACRA business profile of the new hotel name
     
     

4. Please note the following when submitting the application online through the OBLS website:

   • Full Name of Hotel
     Please indicate the current hotel name
     
     
   • Proposed Name of Hotel
     Please indicate the new hotel name
     
     
   • Address of Hotel
     Please ensure that the full address of the hotel (including postal code) is provided
     
     
   • Full Name of Hotel-Keeper
     Please fill in existing Hotel-Keeper's name. If there is a change of hotel-keeper, please indicate the proposed hotel-keeper's name. The proposed Hotel-Keeper has to be a person who holds a post of a Chief Executive or General Manager or equivalent to that of a Chief Executive Officer or General Manager of the hotel.
     
     
   • Supporting documents
     You may attach your supporting documents in the online application. Alternatively, you can email the documents to hlb_info@hlb.gov.sg
     
      
5. If your application is approved, you will be informed via SMS and / or e-mail to pay online.



6. The change of hotel name fee payable is as follows:
   
   

   (i) hotel with 100 rooms and less	$200
   (ii) hotel with 101-299 rooms	$300
   (iii) hotel with 300 or more rooms	$400




7. The Hotels Licensing Board reserves the right to prescribe additional conditions or waive existing conditions for any application for a Change of Hotel Name.
